Here’s a question: What’s so important about keeping our hands protected? Electric scooters are still a pretty new way to get by, so I decided to use results from other activities. Mainly, I took a look at the injuries plagued by those who do things like skateboarding, longboarding, and even electric skateboarding. Here are some of the most common injuries:

- Injured hands, wrists, and shoulders
- Concussions and other issues with the head

Hand, wrist, and shoulder injuries were the second most common injuries that occurred. It’s based on instinct that we try and use our hands to shield our fall, but to no avail. Because of our unprotected hands, we usually hurt our wrist bones, especially if it’s somewhere like concrete. Proper protection is necessary; otherwise, we’d all be covered in sores. These minor cuts and bruises can go away with the right knee and elbow pads.
